New Orleans Lady is a 49 year old mother of four from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, who has worked at home as a transcriber for court reporters, physicians, and mental health professionals for the last 18 years.

NOLady is married to gngrbrd, named for the exquisite gingerbread houses this gifted chef creates. gngrbrd works as a chef aboard a supply ship in the Gulf of Mexico.

Melanie (aka Big Mel or Bigga), 19, has begun a new life with her husband, Chad. Melanie works with one year olds in a day care center and Chad works offshore for the same company as his dad. They are a delightful young couple.
Bigga and Chad were married on 3 November 2007.

Their firstborn is due Feb 16 2009.

Michelle, 19, is a full time student majoring in biology, with her sights set on a Ph.D. in zoological studies. She shares an apartment with a roommate and works hard at a local restaurant. She is actively involved in the Louisiana Renaissance Festival and has plans to travel during the summer months to work at other RenFairs, hopefully displaying some of her original artwork. In the near future, Michelle will be going abroad to study in France for a semester with her university's French Club.

Billy, 15, is a high school freshman. He survived a serious illness and surgery in January 2008 and is currently undergoing academic rehabilitation with the hope of returning to school in April 2008. Billy is very active in our church's youth group and volunteers his time to work with the church's nursery, preschoolers and children's church. He's also a Wii maniac.

Melanie (aka Little Mel or MelMel), 11, is an honor roll sixth grader. She is active in our church's children's church and volunteers in the nursery. Melanie shares Billy's love of the Wii and spends her free time talking on the phone and text messaging her friends..
